The St. Bernard Abbey and Preparatory School have announced this year’s dates for the 41st Bloomin’ Festival, the annual arts and crafts fair in Cullman that draws thousands of local and out-of-town guests to the St. Bernard campus each spring.
Scheduled this year for April 5-6, the event promises two weekend days of unique and authentically-made arts and crafts, alongside traditional touring highlights at the St. Bernard campus as well as music and culinary experiences curated to appeal to guests of all ages.
Talented artisans from both Cullman and across the region will showcase their creations, including glass art, pottery, ceramics, stained glass and paintings. Guests also can take home one-of-a-kind handcrafted items like brooms, wind chimes, woodwork, jewelry, clothing and edible treats such as freshly ground cornmeal, grits, fresh lemonade, funnel cakes, BBQ sauce and the St. Bernard monks’ famous cookies and breads.
As is customary during Bloomin’ Festival weekend, the Ave Maria Grotto will welcome visitors on both festival days at a reduced admission cost of just $5 per person.
On the festival’s second day (Sunday, April 6), visitors can look forward to the event’s traditional prize giveaways, highlighted this year by a brand-new 2025 Buick Encore GX from Bill Smith Buick GMC in Cullman. Other big-ticket giveaway prizes include a portable projector, a set of Apple AirPods, a mini foldable drone, and a Fitbit Inspire fitness tracker watch.
Ticket donations of $5 per person (or 6 tickets for $25) are requested at the festival’s entry points. All proceeds directly support the mission of St. Bernard Preparatory School, continuing its tradition of excellence in education and community service.
