Danny Stiff has stepped down as Cullman’s football coach, the school announced in a statement on Tuesday.

“We appreciate everything Coach Stiff has done for both the student-athletes and the football program during his tenure,” the statement said. “We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

Stiff notched a 10-12 record and a pair of playoff berths in two seasons at the helm.

According to the statement, Cullman High Principal Allison Tuggle and Athletic Director Mike Dean will begin the process of identifying the next coach immediately, and the school said it anticipates making a recommendation by February or early March.

“We are committed to finding a leader who will build on our strong foundation and foster success for our student-athletes both on and off the field,” the statement said.
