Three individuals have been arrested and charged with crimes connected to an armed robbery at the Take 5 Car Wash on Cherokee Ave Sunday, Dec. 8.
Officers with the Cullman Police Department responded to a report of an armed gunman who allegedly forced the caller to empty the business’s safe on Sunday. An initial investigation of the scene revealed a potential location with the vehicle used in the robbery.
Investigators confirmed money was taken from the scene, but did not disclose an amount due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
The same day which the robbery occurred, Kenith Rice was located at a residence by investigators where he was arrested and initially charged with first-degree robbery.
A felony traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle believed to be connected with the robbery Monday, Dec. 9 and the driver, Mary Klosinski was detained for questioning but was later released.

“I can’t express how great of a job our officers did and the CPD Investigations Unit. Also our tactical unit who was called out on Sunday to arrest one of the suspects, CPD Chief Joey Duncan said Tuesday, Dec. 10. “They’ve been working diligently on this, a lot of hours have been put in to solve this.”
Major Intae Suh said he would like to thank the FBI North Alabama Division’s Violent Crimes Task Force, District Attorney Champ Crocker as well as several members of the Cullman community who assisted with the investigation, but who wished to remain anonymous.
