Baileyton Christmas Drive-Thru returns Dec. 14

A tweak made during the covid years to one Baileyton Christmas event has proven popular enough to stick around: the annual Christmas Drive-Thru where children can pick up some food and fun and a friendly wave from Santa.
Held at the Baileyton Fire Department, 165 Fire Station Road, Baileyton, 35019, the fifth annual drive-thru features hamburgers, hot dogs, candy and drinks, plus a toy for each child who rides through the line.
“We started the drive-thru during covid and we’ve done it ever since,” says Baileyton Town Council member Donna Kent, explaining the local volunteer fire fighter effort behind the event. “They hand out burgers and nachos and ice cream and Santa is also there. Everybody does it as a fellowship together as a community.”
This year’s Christmas Drive-Thru will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. There’s no cost to take part in the event.
