Cullman High School’s Elianna Hollis was recently recognized for her artwork. During the Nov. 16 UAH 2024 Art Expo, the high school senior placed 1st in the “Works on Paper” division. Her entry, entitled “Fade,” was a self-portrait drawn entirely with colored pencils. Work was showcased from high school students in north central Alabama on the UAH campus from Oct. 24-Nov. 16. Student art judged for the competition included a wide range of mediums, including works on paper, painting, digital media and design, mixed media, 3-D art and photography.
Awards of Merit were selected by a review committee of UAH Art Faculty, led by Jill Johnson, Chair of the UAH Art, Art History and Design Department. Honorable Mention, 3rd Place, 2nd Place, 1st place, runner-up Best in Show and Best in Show winners were announced during an awards program.
