LOCAL SPORTS: Good Hope’s Malin named Athlete of the Week

Published 7:43 pm Monday, December 2, 2024

It didn’t take long for Tucker Malin to hit his stride on the basketball court.

The Good Hope senior showed out at this year’s Hanceville Thanksgiving Tournament, scoring a career-high 39 points against Dora, 12 points against Vinemont and 27 points against Corner to help the Raiders take home the title.

Malin, who also averaged 6 rebounds and 3 steals across those three games, accumulated his strong offensive numbers thanks in no small part to shooting 53 percent from the field and 41 percent from the 3-point line.
