Gudger recognized for contributions to tourism, hospitality

Senator Garlan Gudger has been awarded the Excellence in Government Award at the Stars of the Industry Awards, presented by the Alabama Restaurant and Hospitality Association. The award honors his outstanding contributions to Alabama’s tourism and hospitality sectors.

“I am deeply humbled to receive the Excellence in Government Award,” Gudger said. “The hospitality and restaurant industries are vital to Alabama’s economy, and it’s been an honor to work alongside so many hardworking people in this field. I’m committed to continuing to advocate for policies that help businesses grow, create jobs, and ensure that Alabama remains a great place to live, work, and visit.”

The Stars of the Industry Awards celebrate the achievements of those professionals who have made significant contributions to Alabama’s restaurant and hospitality industries. Gudger’s contributions and achievements were key factors in his selection for this honor.
