LOCAL SPORTS: Fairview’s Harper named Athlete of the Week

Published 6:48 pm Tuesday, November 5, 2024

Fairview’s Jake Harper made his presence felt — and then some — this past week.

The junior running back registered 282 yards on 15 carries (18.8 yards per tote) and four touchdowns to help the Class 5A No. 4 Aggies corral a 48-21 road victory over Class 4A No. 5 Good Hope. Not only did Harper break numerous tackles en route to that fantastic performance, but three of the scores came on critical third-down plays against a stingy Raiders defense.

He is The Times’ Athlete of the Week.
