LOCAL SPORTS: Good Hope’s Cone named Athlete of the Week

Tyler Cone has been a steady force for Good Hope all season long, but he may have turned in his best performance this past week.
The senior quarterback completed 12 of 15 passes for 251 yards and four touchdowns to help the Raiders down Dora 47-28, improve to 9-0 and earn the program’s first region title since 2007.
He also tallied 70 yards and a rushing score on 13 carries.

Carson Jones, Fairview: Had 11 carries for 155 yards and a touchdown against East Limestone. Had three tackles on defense.
Jake Harper, Fairview: Had eight carries for 52 yards and two touchdowns against East Limestone.
Blake Rickard, Fairview: Had four catches for 79 yards and a touchdown against East Limestone.
Landon Bagwell, Good Hope: Had 20 tackles, a tackle for loss, a quarterback pressure, a sack and a 70-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown against Dora.
Carter Rutherford, Good Hope: Had four catches for 166 yards and two touchdowns against Dora.
Hank Hudson, Good Hope: Had 11 tackles and a forced fumble against Dora.
Mason Drake, Good Hope: Had 19 carries for 61 yards against Dora. Had three catches for 46 yards and a touchdown. Had nine tackles and a fumble recovery.
Hunter Black, Hanceville: Completed 14 of 26 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown against Phil Campbell. Had seven carries for 97 yards and a touchdown.
Sawyer Olinger, Holly Pond: Threw for 125 yards and a touchdown against Collinsville. Had 13 carries for 133 yards and two touchdowns.
Boston Gibbs, Holly Pond: Had 25 carries for 186 yards and a touchdown against Collinsville. Had an 85-yard touchdown catch.
Diego Arreguin, Holly Pond: Had eight tackles and a sack against Collinsville.
Zayne Faulkner, Holly Pond: Had six tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery against Collinsville.
