PREP VOLLEYBALL: Addison, Vinemont earn area tournament titles; Several schools advance to North Super Regional

Addison and Vinemont won their respective area tournament titles this week to advance to this year’s North Super Regional Tournament.
Cullman, Holly Pond and West Point will join the Bulldogs and Eagles at the Finley Center Sports Complex in Hoover next week after finishing area tournament runners-up.

Class 1A, Area 14
Addison knocked off St. Bernard (25-13, 25-10, 25-8) and Meek (25-17, 25-0, 25-21) to win its area tournament title.
Mattie Johnson (MVP), Katie Barrett, Lauryn Cunningham and Ava Bartlett secured spots on All-Tournament Team for the Bulldogs, who improved to 30-13.
Addison will play Coosa Christian next Thursday at 9:45 a.m. in the North Super Regional.
Cullman Christian, meanwhile, saw its season end with a loss to Meek (25-18, 25-21, 25-21).
Lila Sellers and Rylee Stubbs landed on the All-Tournament Team for the Lions, while Abby McBride and Ella Davis made the cut for St. Bernard.
Class 2A, Area 11
Cold Springs fell to Falkville in a five-set match to end its season.
Allie Light and Hollyn Bruer were named to the All-Tournament Team for the Eagles.
Class 3A, Area 11
Vinemont took down Hanceville (25-12, 25-23, 25-14) and Holly Pond (25-12, 25-15, 25-19) to win its area tournament title.
Carley Stephens (MVP), Morgan Flanagan, Caroline Miller and Reagan Robinson represented the Eagles (48-11) on the All-Tournament Team.
Vinemont will play Brindlee Mountain in the North Super Regional next Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
Holly Pond, meanwhile, defeated Locust Fork (17-25, 26-24, 27-25, 26-24) to advance and will play Whitesburg Christian in the North Super Regional next Thursday at 12:15 p.m.
Sadie Nail, Ava Olinger and Blakely Baggett were named to the All-Tournament Team for the Broncos.
Hanceville eliminated J.B. Pennington in four sets before falling to Vinemont. Eden Clements made the All-Tournament Team for the Bulldogs.
Class 4A, Area 13
Good Hope’s season ended with a loss to West Morgan (25-21, 23-25, 25-21, 25-14).
Class 5A, Area 14
Fairview’s season ended following a loss to Arab (25-6, 25-14, 25-7).
Kailyn Redding and Whitney Quick secured All-Area honors for the Aggies.
Class 5A, Area 15
West Point moved past Russellville in the semifinals (25-8, 25-21, 25-22) before falling to Lawrence County (25-21, 25-13, 23-25, 25-16) in the championship match.
Charli Aris, Laklin Shadix and Caitlee Simmons earned All-Tournament Team honors for the Warriors.
West Point will play Moody next Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in the North Super Regional.
Class 6A, Area 13
Cullman eliminated Mortimer Jordan in the semifinals (23-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-12) before coming up short against Jasper in the title match (25-14, 25-21, 25-10).
The Bearcats will play Gardendale next Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the North Super Regional.
