Cullman County FCCLA students celebrated at cook-off

Various Cullman county and city school students met at the Alabama Farm Credit headquarters in Cullman for the FCCLA All County Beef Cook-off Tuesday, Sept. 17. The Cattlewomen’s Association and Alabama Farm Credit sponsored the event. West Point’s Adalynn Bowers placed 1st, Fairview’s Evan Fales placed 2nd, Cullman Area Technology Academy’s Nathan Butler placed 3rd, Vinemont’s Katie Holmes placed 4th and Good Hope’s Mary Ellen Self placed 5th. Bowers will compete in April at the State Beef Cook-off.
Cold Springs High School’s Rebecca Baggett was named the Most Outstanding FCCLA Member in Cullman County. CATA’s Nathan Butler came in second. Baggett will receive an award at the Farm City Banquet in November.
FCCLA sponsors and schools that participated were Stephanie Blair from Cold Springs High School, Amie Veal from the Cullman Area Career Center, Carin Rains from Cullman High School, Whitney Haynes from Fairview High School, Amanda Williams from Good Hope High School, Amy Chambers from Hanceville, Renee Lee and Madison Sapp from Vinemont High School.
