The Cullman Heat Elite 2013 softball team won the B Class USSSA Fastpitch Gulf Coast National Championship in Gulf Shores on Saturday, beating out top teams from around the country to bring home the hardware.

The team finished the tournament with a 7-1 record and compiled a 41-16-2 mark throughout the season. It also garnered five additional tournament titles and made the jump from C Class to B Class midway through the year.

Members of the team include: Bentlee Tate West, Blakely Weaver, Brylee Churchill, Ella Graham, Hadlee Mullins, Kennedy Way, Kynleigh Stinson, Niyah Ellis, Nyla Filyaw and Zamya Jones. The coaches are Whittney White, Colby West and Eric Churchill.

Good Hope, Cold Springs and West Elementary are among the schools represented on the team.
