St. Bernard Prep will host the 8th Annual Bernard Blues and BBQ Festival Sept. 7-8.

This year’s event will include:

— A Kansas City Barbeque Society Backyard Cook-off Competition on Saturday, Sept. 7.

— An arts and crafts festival featuring vendors from across the Southeastern United States.

— Performances by renowned Blues musicians such as Elnora Spencer, KingFish, Debbie Bond and Radiator Rick, and Earl Williams and the Juke Band.

— Half-price admission to the historic Ave Maria Grotto throughout the weekend.

— A chance to win $10,000 on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 4 p.m. to support the educational work at St. Bernard Prep.
