CCS handles personnel matters

The Cullman City Board of Education called a special meeting last Thursday, May 23, to shore up a few remaining end-of-year personnel matters.

During the meeting the board:

— Approved Summer Camp substitute teacher contracts with Danielle Shelton, Cortney Peed and Lindsay Harris-May.

— Approved a Summer special education teacher contract with Kristy Liverett.

— Approved the retirement of Cullman High School Agriscience teacher David Benefield.

— Accepted the following resignations: Allison Green: Cullman City Primary School instructional assistant; Christy Brock: Cullman City Primary School art teacher; Sarah Martin: Cullman City Primary School teacher; Kellen McCoy: Cullman City Primary School teacher; Mary Samplaski: Cullman City Primary School head start auxiliary teacher; Jaime Barber: East Elementary School teacher; Jamie Hampton: East Elementary School teacher; Leslie Needham: East Elementary School teacher; Jacob Baker: East Elementary School instructional assistant; Lisa Phillips: Cullman City Primary School teacher; Emily Speegle: Cullman City Primary School head start instructional assistant; Makayla Loveday: Cullman City Primary School teacher and Carson Aaron: Cullman High School History teacher.

— Approved the conditional employment for the following personnel: Meghan Block: Cullman City Schools special education teacher; Bobby Hill: Cullman High School custodian; Madison Heatherley: K—12 special education teacher; Alexandria Barker: Cullman City Primary School teacher and Madelyn Guest: Cullman City Primary School teacher.

— Approved a Cullman Middle School cheer sponsor supplement for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school years for Cassie Bowen.
