The Alabama High School Athletic Directors & Coaches Association announced on Monday this year’s North-South All-Star rosters for baseball, softball and soccer — and a few local standouts made the cut in their respective sports.

Athens’ Amaya Green, Athens Bible’s Kaylee Carter and West Limestone’s Lilly Bethune secured spots on the North softball team, joining 15 other soon-to-be seniors.

Elkmont’s Ester Marcial and Tanner’s Randy Cortes, meanwhile, will represent both North soccer squads — also consisting of 18 rising juniors — with Tanner’s Matt Smith also serving as a coach for the boys.

Earlier this year, Ardmore’s Addison Tiemann (cross country) and Clements’ Leah Childress (basketball) both garnered a North-South selection in their respective sports.

Each athlete will compete at the annual All-Star Sports Week in Montgomery from July 15-19.
