MIDDLE SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Good Hope completes perfect season with title, 28-8 win over West Point

GOOD HOPE — The Raiders capped a perfect 9-0 season on Tuesday night, taking down West Point 28-8 to secure their second straight Cullman County middle school title.
Good Hope’s Tucker Screws ran for two touchdowns and caught another from Web Buchanan, who also tossed a TD pass to Cooper Johnson. Screws and Eli Drake each added 2-point conversions.
“I’m proud of my players and coaches,” Good Hope coach Wesley Waters said. “They have worked hard all year for this moment. West Point is a very talented team. I’m looking forward to what these boys do in high school.”
West Point’s lone score came on a lengthy touchdown pass from Carter McAfee to Breylee Woodard.
Koltan Franks ran in a 2-point conversion for the Warriors.
