A shooting Monday afternoon in the Joppa area resulted in a victim being treated at the hospital, the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office said. 

The shooting occurred around 1:30 p.m. The unidentified victim is in stable condition, and there is no on-going threat to the community, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The shooting remains under investigation.
