Jesus Cortes Sandoval, 63, of Good Hope has been charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12 according to a press release from the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office.

The press release goes on to say “CCSO Investigators conducted a short investigation, with the assistance of Cullman County Department of Human Resources (DHR), Cullman Advocacy Center (CAC), and the Cullman County District Attorney’s Office, after victims came forward CCSO investigators determined the suspect had committed sexual acts to a minor child under twelve years old.”

Due to the nature of the crime and the crime involving a child, there is limited information that the CCSO is releasing.

Mr. Sandoval is currently being held in the Cullman County Detention Center with an U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer with no bond.
