Cullman native Jordan Lee dominated Friday’s championship round to secure the Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour Heavy Hitters title on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes in Florida.
Lee reeled in 12 fish (52 pounds, 9 ounces) Friday on Lake Toho, besting runner-up Bryan Thrift (33-03) by a substantial margin in the 10-angler showdown. Lee also garnered the Big Bass award (7-04), bringing his earnings to $200,000.
“It was one of those dream days on the water,” Lee told The Times. “Everything I did, I felt comfortable. It just went my way. The tournaments I’ve won, those final days have been magical. Throughout the day, I was able to catch quality fish and build a lead. Overall, just a dream day on the water.”
