Softball

West Point’s softball team had the bats going on Thursday night.

The Lady Warriors recorded 11 hits in five innings and took down Cullman 11-1 to improve to 5-1-1 this season.

Lexi Shadix (four RBIs) racked up two home runs for West Point, while Carlie Wilkins (three hits and three RBIs) and Molly Pendley (three hits and two RBIs) socked one apiece.

Kayleigh Haney (two hits), Bethany Minck (one hit) and Kylee Quinn (one RBI) also contributed.

Wilkins secured the win in the circle, scattering three hits and 10 strikeouts.

Taylor Au provided the lone highlight for the Lady Bearcats (3-5) with a solo home run.
