A scout’s honor

Scouts and leaders from Cullman County and Blount County were honored at a recognition dinner Thursday night.
Blount County Sheriff Mark Moon was the guest speaker, and he encouraged all scouts and leaders to continue their commitment to service.
Cullman County Eagle Scouts honored were Matthew Newton of Hanceville and Christian Davis, Joseph Turner, and Charles Worley from Cullman.
Blount County Eagle Scouts recognized were Cameron Adams, Nathaniel Loyd and Jason Manstream, Jr. from Oneonta, and Jace Daily II, Hunter Mitchell and Jonathan Sartain from Warrior.
Chuck Worley received the District Award of Merit, and Brett Stephenson, Judd Davidson, Lisa Huffstutler and Laura Davidson received awards for training.
In addition, members of the Mulberry District Committee and other volunteers received Certificates of Appreciation, and six of the nine scouting units in Mulberry District were honored for achieving a significant standard of excellence for 2019.
