Parole hearing scheduled for man convicted of assault

Robert David Austin will go before the Alabama Board of Pardons and Parole on Feb. 13. Austin is serving a 15-year prison sentence for domestic violence and first-degree assault in Cullman County.
Austin was convicted in 2012 of the 2011 domestic violence and assault charges. He was out of jail from a 2008 conviction for breaking and entering a vehicle in Cullman when he committed the two violent crimes.
He has served eight years and eight months of his sentence.
