PREP SPORTS: Good Hope’s Maddox named Athlete of the Week

Cole Maddox continued his fine senior season with another remarkable week on the basketball court.
The Good Hope standout netted 21 points against Cold Springs and 31 against Corner — both double-digit victories — to help the Class 4A No. 6 Raiders improve to 13-0 this season.
He also averaged five assists, four rebounds and three steals during that two-game stretch to go along with a 55 percent field goal percentage.
For the season, Maddox is averaging 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists per game.
Maddox is The Times’ Athlete of the Week.
