Prep Basketball

Good Hope’s varsity boys moved up one spot in Class 4A when the Alabama Sports Writers Association released its latest batch of high school basketball rankings on Wednesday night.

The Raiders (11-0) are currently ranked sixth after debuting at No. 7.

Cullman’s boys, meanwhile, were among teams nominated in 6A. The Bearcats are 8-4.

Cold Springs’ girls (12-2) stayed atop of the latest 2A poll. Addison (6-1) was nominated.

Fairview’s girls (8-4) dropped out of the 4A rankings after debuting at No. 8 last week.

The Lady Aggies were among teams nominated.

West Point’s girls (12-4) held firm at No. 10 in 5A.
