The spirit of Christmas is alive and bright at the North Alabama Agriplex.

On Saturday morning the Agriplex hosted a holiday craft making class for the Farm Kids Club. Kids and families from across the county came out to make merry holiday crafts using all of nature’s bounty.

Kids could craft anything from wreaths for their front doors to handmade ornaments for their trees. Craft materials sourced straight from the Alabama forest allowed for a natural, homespun touch on these holiday classics.

“The Agriplex is amazing. There is always something fun happening that me and my kids can enjoy together,” said Bonnie Baty as she helped her children turn simple evergreen branches into beautiful, uniquely individual wreaths.

If you’re thinking this sounds like the perfect way to get into your holiday headspace, but you’re a little too tall for the kids’ craft table, don’t fret: the Agriplex offers adult classes too. Later in the day Saturday, the center played host to a grapevine wreath making class — so that even grown-ups can get their Christmas craft on.
