He’s a mean one

- Meeting the Grinch, well — it wasn’t a cinch for a two year-old named Ryan Lee. Though Ryan is a fan, it was all he could stand to get close to a Mean One so green. Grandma Debra Lee said when Ryan goes to bed, he sleeps with a stuffed Grinch-y doll. But a doll can’t compare with that “real” shaggy hair, and on Friday, he made Ryan bawl.

Around 260 guests enjoyed hot chocolate, crafts and story time at the Cullman County Library “Grinch Party.” Event sponsor, Walmart awarded the library a community grant.
The City of Cullman’s annual Christmas Festival and Tree Lighting Ceremony, originally scheduled for Friday, but moved due to inclement weather, is Saturday from 12-10 p.m. at Depot Park.
Santa’s Workshop and the Christkindlmarkt will open at noon, followed by free photos with Santa at 3 p.m. and parade at 6 p.m. The parade will begin at the Busy Bee Cafe and travel toward to Depot Park where the lighting of the Christmas tree will take place at 7 p.m.
