Prep Cross Country

Cullman’s Will Thompson won the large-school (Class 5A-7A) individual crown at Saturday’s Dew It On The Trails cross country competition in Decatur.

Thompson (15:42.80), Adam Mangum (ninth), Nicholas Wood (10th), Walker Huddleston (13th) and Conner Lowery (43rd) helped the Bearcats finish third as a team.

Cullman’s girls, meanwhile, placed second behind Mountain Brook.

Jennifer Aviles (eighth), Bernarda Tizapa (11th), Della Kelly (13th), Colette Whitney (17th) and Tess Heaton (25th) provided the counting times for the Black and Gold.
