‘Copper,’ CCSO deputies nab 2 suspects, stolen property after chase

A Friday afternoon attempted traffic stop led to a pursuit along Alabama 157 and a foot chase in West Point, ending with two arrests and recovery of stolen property.
Cullman County Sheriff’s Office investigators and deputies attempted a traffic stop on Alabama 157, when the suspects, Austin Wade Eipp, 25, of Vinemont, and Brittany Hope Riggs, 27, of Vinemont, led deputies on on the pursuit into West Point.
The suspects fled from the vehicle on foot and CCSO deputies at the scene called in assistance from K9 deputy “Copper.” The suspects were quickly apprehended.
After they were apprehended deputies and investigators learned they were wanted for multiple warrants, according to a release from the Sheriff’s Office.
CCSO investigators and deputies also discovered and recovered a large amount of stolen property in the suspects possession.

Both suspects are being held in the Cullman County Detention Center with no bond.
