Applications are now being accepted for the Cullman County Sheriff’s Citizens Academy. Citizens Academy is an opportunity for Cullman County residents to learn about the role of law enforcement in the community.
The nine-week program, begins August 27, with classes on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. There is no fee to attend.
Classes will include a demonstration by SWAT, a tour of the detention center, visits to the shooting range and guest speakers from the sheriff’s office and state and federal agencies.
Applications may be obtained at the sheriff’s office, located at 1910 Beech Avenue, S.E.
