(Update) Search resumes for missing person after boating crash

The search is resuming this morning for one person who is missing after a two-boat collision Thursday night on Rock Creek.
The crash occurred about 10 p.m. There were five people injured. Four of them were transported for medical attention. The severity of the injuries is unknown, according to Capt. Gary Buchanan, patrol commander of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
The accident was in the Crane Hill area.
Troopers reported the collision in a release just after midnight.
Cullman County Sheriffs Office, Cullman County Fire and Rescue, Cullman’s Dive Team, and the Alabama Marine Police were searching for the missing individual.
At least nine others who were in the boats made it to shore.
