A 70 percent chance of thunderstorms Wednesday night and Thursday remain in the forecast for Cullman County.

New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter inch are possible Thursday night and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service has not ruled out a severe thunderstorm as the system moves east.
