The City of Fultondale broke ground on the third storm shelter inside the city last week.

The shelter, located at 601 Main Street (next to Fultondale First Baptist Church) is part of a partnership between the city, Jefferson County and the federal government.

The city hopes to break ground on a fourth shelter soon to be located near the trailer park community just off Highway 31.
