FULTONDALE—The Fultondale City Council on Monday approved a resolution authorizing Mayor Jim Lowery to enter into a contract to install a traffic light at the intersection of Walker Chapel Road and Main Street.
The traffic light was recommended by the city engineer and is expected to cost approximately $120,896.45.
The council also held a public hearing and approved demolition of the structure at 2607 Woodrun Road. According to the city inspector, the structure has burned twice. Lowery said the city will likely move quickly on the demolition because the structure is in such bad shape.
