- Three on a String will introduce Hanceville to a three-concert lineup this summer at the city’s Veterans Park.
The threat of rain shouldn’t put much of a damper on the variety of events slated for the Cullman area Saturday, as organizers say they’ve got their contingency plans in place to keep the show going in case the weather turns sour.
Hanceville’s Summer Concert Series featuring Jesse Priest and Three on a String is still set to kick off at 4 p.m. Veterans Park. If the skies don’t cooperate, however, the show will move indoors to the Hanceville Civic Center. Hanceville mayor Kenneth Nail said the city’s Facebook page will announce sometime around noon on Saturday a final decision on where the free, all-ages event will take place.
Dodge City’s 7th annual Dodge City Day also won’t be shut down by inclement weather, said mayor Tawana Canada. The all-day celebration, which kicks off at 8 a.m. Saturday, will simply move its two scheduled concerts (featuring Genesis and the Battle Ground Trio) into the Dodge City Community Center if the weather does turn ugly.
