- Consultant Jason Fondren addresses the Cullman Planning Commission Monday.
A public hearing Monday gave more insight into a proposed subdivision ordinance at the Cullman Planning Commission meeting Monday.
Consultant Jason Fondren said the proposal provides simpler and more understandable language for residents and developers.
“There will also be a searchable version online for anyone who wants access,” Fondren said. “It’s much easier to understand in the standards of designs for business and residential.”
Other highlights include timetables for submitting plans to allow city staff ample time to consider and research plans before they come before the planning commission.
Commission members will also have more flexibility concerning sidewalk options and tree plantings.
No one in the audience raised questions about the proposed ordinance changes.
