A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle early Saturday morning near the site of Rock the South, but there was not a fatality, according to Alabama State Troopers.

The incident occurred around 12:45 a.m., and the driver of the vehicle left the scene, according to a Troopers report.

The pedestrian, 30, of Cullman, remains at UAB, in stable condition, according to Troopers, who did not identify the person

State Troopers are working with Cullman County Sheriff’s Office to identify the vehicle and the driver. If anyone in that area believes that they have information concerning the crash, they can contact the Decatur State Trooper Post (256-353-0631) or the Cullman County Sheriff’s office (256-734-0342).

The incident occurred along Country Road 469, according to Troopers.
