Suspect wanted after body found along I-22 identified, ruled homicide

The body found along I-22 on Mother’s Day has been identified as Ernamy Padilla, 39, of Pinson.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Padilla’s death has been classified as a homicide and a warrant has been issued for a suspect, Jose Afrain Dubon Rodriguez. This warrant is for murder and there will be no bond issued, once Rodriguez is apprehended, according to the sheriff’s office.
According to the sheriff’s office, Rodriguez may have fled the area.

Padilla leaves behind three children. Her body was found in a vehicle near Exit 89 on I-22 on May 12.
