Damage on County Road 939.

Afternoon storms left a barn and at least two chicken houses damaged in Jones Chapel and Joppa.

No injuries were reported during the storms, said Cullman County Emergency Management Agency Director Phyllis Little.

The damage in Jones Chapel was along County Roads 939 and 940, and County Road 1802 in Joppa.

“We also have a lot of trees down in Jones Chapel,” Little said. “We don’t know if it was downburst or straight-line winds at this time. One person also reported seeing a small tornado that wasn’t touching down in Jones Chapel, but that is not verified.”
