- Road projects along Interstate 65 will likely cause some delays for commuters.
The Alabama Department of Transportation has closed the right or left lane of I-65 Southbound for guardrail operations between the Hayden exit (Milepost 285) and the Mt. Olive exit (Exit 272).
All travel lanes are expected to reopen at about 7 p.m. Monday.
These same lane closures will be in place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
ALDOT also closed the right or left lane of I-65 northbound for paving between the Mt. Olive exit (Milepost 272) and just north of the Hayden exit (Milepost 285).
These same lane closures will be in place from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area.
