LOCAL SPORTS: Cullman County Sports Hall of Fame inducts 20th class

The Cullman County Sports Hall of Fame’s 20th class was officially installed Saturday during the organization’s annual banquet at the Civic Center.

Members of the 2019 class include Jason Allcorn (West Point), Keith Burns (Hanceville), Phillip Carden (Good Hope), Mike Cobb (Cullman), Clifford Copeland (Cullman), Marty Hardman (Fairview), Mitch Hollis (Hanceville), Teck Johnson (Vinemont), Mike Lee (Cullman), Russell Walker (Holly Pond) and Tim Willoughby (Cold Springs).

Prior to the ceremony, 10 student-athletes were awarded scholarships based on their fantastic work both in and out of the classroom. The recipients are as follows:

% Alivia Boyll, Fairview: Charlotte Cummings Memorial Scholarship

% Kara Hollis, Holly Pond: Dane Estes Memorial Scholarship

% Tess Duke, Holly Pond: Jimmy Dale Burgess Scholarship

% Baylee Grace Loyd, St. Bernard: Coach Charlie Richard Memorial Scholarship

% Rachel Hall, Vinemont: Michael Stewart Memorial Scholarship

% Rylan Jones, West Point: Jacob Harris Memorial Scholarship
