- Eckenrod Ford Day 2019
Rain only served to thin the car-crazed crowd Saturday, giving Ford fans more close-up time with their favorite classic cars this year at the annual Eckenrod Ford Day.
For the 22nd year, the dealership-hosted event brought together fans and owners of classic Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury cars, from enthusiast Jack Keller’s 1919 Model T to a brand new, off-the-lot Mustang GT.
Keller, 83, finished restoring his Model T — the oldest car on the lot — just last week. The project took him five years, but he did all of the work — including the body and paint — in his hobby garage at West Point.
Why is Keller part of an all-Ford family, from cars to trucks to tractors? “I was just raised that way,” he laughed. “Growing up, it’s all I knew.”
Check out photos from this year’s Eckenrod Ford Day, and while you’re at it, save a (hopefully sunny) Saturday date for next year.
