Eckenrod Ford Days is returning Saturday for the 22nd year with 160 vintage cars and trucks made by the iconic automobile company.

Collectors and car enthusiasts from the region will be bringing everything from an authentic Model A to classic Mustangs. The event, free to the public, begins at 8 a.m. at Eckenrod Ford on Alabama 157.

“Every year we have about a third of the collectors who are new to the event, and then we have others who have come for years and bring something different than the year before. So, it’s always interesting to see what we will have each year,” said Eckenrod Owner/General Manager Wade Bentley.

Among the longtime collectors expected this year is Jack Keller of West Point. His 1919 Model A is expected to the oldest vehicle on the lot Saturday.

“Mr. Keller is known as a historian with automobiles. The Model A is authentic and he brings a lot of knowledge with him,” Bentley said.

Hot dogs will be served at 11 a.m., followed by ribbons awarded in several categories for the Fords.

Parking is along Alabama 157.

There is a chance of inclement weather Saturday, but Bentley said every effort will be made to wrap up the event by 1 p.m. Any change of plans will be announced Friday.
