Multiple rounds of scattered embedded thunderstorms and numerous to widespread showers will spread northward across Cullman County area into the afternoon hours, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm system is lifting out of the southwest into the region.

A few of these storms may be strong to marginally severe from this morning into the afternoon hours, and will be capable of brief gusty winds around 50 to 60 MPH and hail to the size of quarters. Lingering showers and perhaps a few additional

thunderstorms will remain possible into the evening and overnight periods, as the storm system be
