Twin Kennedy is set to perform at the Betty Leeth Haynes Theater.

The Cullman Community Concert Association will kick off the month of April by bringing twice the talent to the Betty Leeth Haynes Theater at Wallace State.

You won’t be seeing double when Canadian country music twins Carli and Julie Kennedy take the stage, but you might even get more than you money’s worth. As the two halves of award-winning duo Twin Kennedy, the pair can cover a lot of musical territory.

With Julie on fiddle and Carli on guitar, Twin Kennedy has been recognized both in the U.S. And abroad for their original music. Each sister sings, and brings a strong command of her instrument, thanks to a deep classical music background that occasionally comes to the surface in the group’s music.

Identical twins who got their formal training at Canada’s University of Victoria, the sisters have twice been nominated for the Canadian Country Music Award, have won a pair of VIMA independent music Awards, and collected the grand prize in the annual John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

The British Columbia natives got their start as part of a family band, and honed their twin-powered stage presence into a dynamic country act that the music press has praised for both its soulfulness and its spontaneous energy.
