Mackenzie Lawrence hit a walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh inning on Monday, lifting Vinemont’s softball team to an 8-7 home victory over Brindlee Mountain.

The Lady Eagles entered the decisive frame trailing 7-6 before Maddie Oliver tied the game with an RBI double of her own following Brooklyn Knott’s leadoff single.

Three batters later, Lawrence delivered the game-winning knock.

Emilie Hoffman (two RBIs), Lawrence (RBI) and Emma Dortch had three hits apiece for Vinemont.

Katelyn Evans (RBI) and Maci Smith (RBI) each provided two hits.

Oliver (two RBIs), Makayla Noblett (RBI), Hailee Moore and Knott notched one hit apiece.
