When the curtain raises on the 61st annual Grammy Awards, Shane Quick and many of his partners and staff from Premier Productions will be in the audience to support four recording artists the company promotes.

For Quick, who keeps his portion of Premier based in Cullman with 18 employees, arriving in Los Angeles for the Grammy presentations gives him a sense of pride about how a world-recognized event touches his home.

“This brings Cullman a world connection,” Quick said. “I have had so much support from people here growing up, and today, to chase my dream. It proves you can achieve whatever you want with hard work, sticking to your dreams, and building relationships.”

Premier books Christian music concerts and other events around the world. The four artists up for Grammy awards include Lauren Daigle, Tori Kelly, Jesus Culture and Elevation Worship.

Daigle is nominated for Best Christian Music Performance/Song and Best Contemporary Christian Music Album;  Elevation and Jesus Culture are also both nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album; Tori Kelly is nominated for Best Gospel Album.

Quick said all of the artists have established larger followings through their music and performances.

Daigle, he said, is gaining wide acclaim from all areas of the music industry.

“Lauren brings the full package with her; her voice is the next level. Everyone in the industry recognizes her as going to the moon with her talent,” Quick said. “We’ve been investing in Lauren since the beginning of her career. “We’ve promoted about 95 percent of her shows.”

The Grammy Awards will be Feb. 10 in Los Angeles at the Staples Center. The show will be aired by CBS, beginning at 7 p.m.

“When I’m in the audience I will look up to the stage to see people I love know,” Quick said. “We’ll see the fruit of our work and the value of relationships, which are friendships. I’m blessed with the partners I joined in Premier, who are Roy Morgan and Gary Gentry. They’ve had tremendous success through the years before I ever got into it. Now I’m getting to do the same thing, to raise up talented people and help them reach their success. It’s something we all love doing.”

Premier has offices in Cullman, High Point, North Carolina, and Nashville with about 50 employees.
