UPDATE: Gardendale Police Lt. Scott Banks said the Gardendale Police, with assistance from an explosive detection dog from Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, cleared the store. No threat was found.  Walmart should be reopening soon.

According to a social media post from the Gardendale Fire and Rescue Service on Saturday, the Walmart located on Odum Rd. in Gardendale has been evacuated in response to a bomb threat.
