HANCEVILLE — Vinemont’s junior varsity boys pulled away for a 44-29 win over Cold Springs at the Cullman County Basketball Tournament on Saturday.
The No. 5 Red and White (16-7) forced numerous turnovers in the second half to advance. They will play No. 1 Fairview in the semifinals on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
Caleb Sharpe (13), Teague Whatley (11), Bryce Perkins (seven) and Dalton Whitehead (six) were Vinemont’s top contributors.
The fourth-seeded Eagles were led offensively by Lawson Burgess, who scored 14 points.
Ayden Alexander and Tanner Kilgo added five apiece.
