All lanes have reopened on I-65 after a three-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened in Blount County near mile marker 287 involving three vehicles – a car, a pickup truck and a tanker truck. The tanker caught fire as a result of the wreck, but the fire has been extinguished.

Officials say there was a minor diesel and gasoline spill. It has been contained.

Troopers closed I-65 in both directions while crews work to put the fire out and clear the scene.

Some minor injuries were reported in the wreck. The extent of those is not yet available.
