The Cullman Police Department has issued a reminder that drivers during peak hours before and after school that left turns onto 13th Street Northeast from Second Avenue Northeast are not allowed.

The rule was put into place in November, when traffic flow patterns around Cullman High, Middle and Primary schools were changed because of the closure of Eva Road between Forrest Avenue Northeast and Scenic Drive Northeast. The restriction could be in place for up to 10 months while the bridge replacement is under way on Eva Road, Police Chief Kenny Culpepper said.

Motorists should follow the turning restriction at 13th Street from Second Avenue from 7:15-8:30 a.m. and 2:15-3:30 p.m. on school days.
